1. <\/b>Operations and achievements<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) is a voluntary organization of seafood processing and exporting enterprises in Vietnam, aiming to coordinate and link activities of enterprises, help each other to improve the value, quality, and competitiveness of Vietnamese seafood products, develop and create a source of raw materials for seafood processing and export, represent and protect the legitimate interests of its members.<\/span><\/p>\n

Established on June 12, 1998, members of VASEP are enterprises of all economic sectors, non-business organizations and managers operating in the field of seafood processing and import and export. property of Vietnam, approved the Association’s Charter, voluntarily applied to join the Association, and was recognized by the Executive Board. Most of VASEP’s members are reputable seafood processing and exporting companies of Vietnam, the rest are businesses in the service areas related to the seafood industry. Seafood export turnover of VASEP members accounts for 80% of total seafood export turnover of Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

After many years of operation, VASEP has become a member of organizations such as the Intergovernmental Organization for Marketing Information and Fisheries Technology Consulting Services Asia – Pacific (INFOFISH), the Association of Seafood United States Seafood Association (NFI), ASEAN Aquaculture Federation (AAF), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Singapore Fisheries Industry Association (SIAS).<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Contents of Cooperation\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

On the 6<\/span>th<\/span> day of May 2022, Foreign Trade University (FTU) and Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) entered into the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the aim of cooperating on the activities of the FTU WTO Chair Programme. To accomplish this undertaking, this MOU seeks to facilitate the collaboration of the following activities:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

– Under Curriculum Development and Teaching pillar, VASEP is committed to cooperating in the designing and teaching (if needed) of new short courses for private actors, and new courses for postgraduate students.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Under Research pillar, VASEP is willing to support relevant research projects under the FTU WTO Chair Programme.<\/span><\/p>\n

– Under Outreach activities pillar, VASEP is committed to promoting and supporting events such as placing the link and logo of \u201cFTU WTO Chair\u201d on the website of VASEP, facilitating Viet Nam International Trade (VIT) Moot organized by FTU, sending experts and\/or writing articles for seminar\/conferences (if needed).<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
