It has also emerged as a key hub for agricultural production and processing in the midland and northern mountainous region of Vietnam. In 2024 alone, Son La attracted nearly 4.9 million visitors, generating an estimated revenue of VND 5,800 billion. In agriculture, the province boasts over 54,000 hectares of industrial crops, 120,000 hectares of food crops, and more than 71,000 hectares of fruit trees \u2014 with a total output of around 2.2 million tons, and an export turnover of nearly USD 190 million.
