The WTO Chairs Program Phase 3 at Foreign Trade University successfully organized a short-term training course with the theme “Strengthening the capacity to apply Vietnam’s international trade and investment commitments” for the second time in Ho Chi Minh City from July 21 to 22, 2023.
With the teaching participation of experts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City National University, ACCA Association and Foreign Trade University, the course topics have brought updated and practical information for trainers, as well as creating an environment for connection and exchange between experts and businesses.

The first topic with Associate Professor, Dr. Tu Diep Cong Thanh on “Intellectual Property in global trade and applications to the Vietnamese context” brought to trainers the system of Intellectual Property regulations in international trade, international disputes and mechanisms for resolving these disputes.

The second topic by Dr. Tran Nguyen Chat delivered the topic “Sustainable development in international trade and investment”. Dr. Tran Nguyen Chat gave students very new perspectives, providing tools to help implement innovation and sustainable development at each unit in an easier and more practical way.

The third seminar on the topic “Tax in international trade” is taught by expert Phan Hoai Nam. As an expert with a lot of experience in teaching and consulting in the fields of Accounting, Auditing and Law, Mr. Phan Hoai Nam has helped students gain knowledge about contractor tax and international tax, the most updated information on Global Minimum Tax (GMT), actual Tax operations and taking advantage of Vietnam’s FTAs.

The topic State management of international trade taught by Mr. Ngo Duc Minh from the National Competition Commission helped students have a very general overview of the connection between state management and businesses. As an expert with many years of experience working in state management agencies and exposed to a variety of types of businesses operating in many industries, Mr. Ngo Duc Minh helped trainers equip themselves with the useful knowledge acting as the basis for supporting the operations of businesses from state management agencies to be implemented correctly and successfully.
