Vietnam is actively participating deeply in the process of economic integration, not only within the framework of multilateral institutions such as the WTO but also other bilateral and regional institutions, especially new generation free trade agreements (FTAs) such as EVFTA and CPTPP. In addition to the opportunity to expand and diversify markets, participate deeply in the global supply chain and production network, Vietnamese enterprises also have to face an increasingly uncertain and difficult time in the world market as more sophisticated trade barriers erected everywhere. In this context, improving the adaptive capacity of Vietnamese enterprises themselves, such as promoting internal resources, improving their position in the global value chain, actively and flexibly applying Vietnam’s commitments. In the framework of WTO and new generation FTAs, it is very important to exploit integration opportunities and take advantage of long-term benefits, thereby moving towards sustainable development.
As a bridge and a place to spread knowledge, Foreign Trade University organized a scientific conference with the theme: “Improving the adaptive capacity of Vietnamese enterprises in the context of implementing WTO commitments.” and new generation FTAs”.
